Hospital Jobs & Vacancy
In Malaysia's healthcare system, doctors must complete a mandatory
three-year service in public hospitals to maintain adequate staffing levels.
This requirement entails a total commitment of four years, comprising two
years of housemanship and an additional two years of government service
across the nation's public hospitals, ensuring comprehensive medical
coverage for the populace.
Foreign medical practitioners are encouraged to seek employment in Malaysia,
particularly if they possess higher qualifications. However, despite these
efforts, there remains a notable shortage of highly skilled specialists,
resulting in certain medical services being limited to major urban centers.
Attempts to expand medical facilities to smaller towns have been hindered by
a lack of expertise to operate the available equipment, further
concentrating specialized medical care in large cities.
Within hospitals, various departments and centers operate as distinct
entities, each functioning almost independently within the facility. These
departments offer a plethora of job opportunities, ranging from
administrative roles to specialized medical positions.
