The ostoscope, also known as the auriscope, is a tool crafted for the visual inspection of the eardrum and the outer ear canal.

It commonly comprises a light source and a series of magnifying lenses, along with an ear speculum—a small, funnel-shaped attachment—to scrutinize the ear canal and eardrum.

Additionally, it can serve in examining the nose, throat, and teeth.
