Operating Table

An operating table, also referred to as a surgical table, is the surface
where the patient is positioned during a surgical procedure. Typically
located within the operating room of a hospital, this piece of surgical
equipment provides the necessary support for the patient throughout the
operation. In cases where a standard operating table is unavailable, a
makeshift option can be created using two kitchen tables positioned end to
end.
However, when utilizing an improvised operating table, it is crucial to
ensure proper hygiene. This involves thoroughly cleaning the surfaces by
scrubbing them with soap and water, followed by drying them with a clean
towel.
Next, a double-folded blanket is placed atop the improvised table, providing
additional padding. A waterproof sheet is then positioned over the folded
blanket to prevent any moisture from seeping through. Finally, a freshly
laundered ordinary sheet is placed over the waterproof sheet, completing the
setup of the makeshift operating table.
