The curriculum for the MBBS programme was developed with the aim of
producing doctors that are competent, caring and scientific while also being
able to anticipate and respond to the changes in community needs, medical
science and technology. A few means of developing these expertise is through
exposure to early patient contact and clinical training, ensuring the
curriculum reflects the way in which students will be expected to identify
and address clinical problems, placing a higher emphasis on delivery through
engagement with the students, and encouraging students to develop their
skills outside of the curriculum.
As such, the SEGi MBBS introduces students to early clinical exposure in
Phase 1 programme, the programme is an integrated curriculum, the programme
focuses on a student-centred learning approach, and students will benefit
from the opportunity to participate in an internship element as an elective
in Phase 2.
The University is also constantly abuzz with student activities and seminars
to develop their professional skills. These activities allow for a holistic
development of the students not only focusing on the academics. All these
