The Rights of Patients:

 • Individuals have the right to receive prompt emergency first-aid treatment at healthcare facilities.

 • Every patient will be treated with utmost respect for their dignity.

 • Patients shall receive care, consideration, and impartial treatment with respect for their dignity.

 • Patients have the right to privacy during interviews, examinations, and treatments by medical staff.

 • Patients shall be provided with a chaperone during any physical examination or treatment.

 • Hospitalized children shall, whenever possible, have one of their parents or guardians with them at all times.

 • Patients have the right, whenever possible, to choose their own consultant.

 • Patients have the right to request a second opinion.

 • Patients have the right to receive information about their condition, investigations, and the results of those investigations, explained to them.

 • Patients shall be informed about the likely costs of treatment, investigations, or procedures.

 • Patients who are adequately informed about their condition have the right to accept or refuse treatment.

 • Patients have the right to receive a clear, concise explanation, in simple terms, of any proposed treatment or procedure and its alternatives, including possible risks, side effects, aftereffects, and possible failures.

 • Patients' informed consent must be obtained before any procedure is carried out. For minors, consent shall be obtained from their parents or legal guardians.

 • All patient information shall be treated as confidential and not discussed with anyone other than those professionally involved.

 • Patients have the right to expect safe, efficient, and prompt nursing care while in the facility.
