Hospital Sultanah Aminah (Johor Bahru)

Hospital Sultanah Aminah is a government-funded multi-specialty hospital located in Johor Bahru, the state capital of Johor, Malaysia. It is easily the biggest hospital in Johor as well as the main referral and tertiary health centre for the state.

HSA is also one of the busiest hospitals in Malaysia based on patient load. However, budget cuts have affected its level of service. Opened in 1900, the hospital overlooks the Tebrau Straits.

It also offers a bird's eye view of Singapore from its location. Hospital Sultanah Aminah had third class wards constructed from wood since 1882.
When these wards became old and overcrowded with patients, a new building was planned to replace these old wards. The new building construction began in 1938 and completed in 1941.
