A private
hospital is a hospital owned by a profit company or a non-profit
organisation and privately funded through payment for medical services
by patients themselves, by insurers, or by foreign embassies.
Even healthcare services in Malaysia is mainly under the responsibility
of the government's Ministry of Health, Private Hospitals are widespread
throughout the nation. Private sector health services are good in
general, and disease-specific. Private Hospitals are providing better
services and plays an important role in its objective of helping to
raise standards of medical care within the country.
Some of the activities geared towards this objective include working
dialogues with public sector agencies including Ministry of Health
Malaysia and promotion of Health Tourism Activities regionally and
internationally with the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC).
