Damai Specialist Hospital was first established on 1st August 1990.
It is located at Lorong Pokok Tepus 1, Off Jalan Damai with its
four-storey building providing facilities and services such as
outpatient clinics, X-ray, wards, and operation theatre. With its
strategic location, the hospital is in close proximity to Damai
Commercial Centre, and approximately 6km from Kota Kinabalu City.
In November 2005, the hospital was taken over by KPJ Healthcare
Berhad, a public listed Company. With this, the hospital is poised
to provide better facilities for our valued customers.
Damai Specialist Hospital is the 14th network in the KPJ Healthcare
Group and has completed its expansion plan since August 2008. Phase
1 involves building new hospital wing while Phase 2 involves the
renovation of the existing block. Since completion of the expansion
project, the hospital is providing new outpatient clinics, two
operation theatres, new Dianostic Imaging Services and inpatient
beds will increase from 24 to 56 beds by mid of 2009.
In the effort to deliver quality care to its patients, the hospital
also provides new state-of-the-art equipments such as MRI, CT Scan
and Mammogram. Furthermore, the hospital will upgrade its facilities
and services by having and Accident and Emergency Unit (A&E),
Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Haemodialysis Unit and two new delivery
suites in near future.
