Hospital Permai was completed in
1937 to replace the old hospital, located in Batu Tiga, Jalan Skudai
which was formed in 1916. Hospital Permai in Tampoi is located in a land area
of 620 acres, but hospital structures occupy only 110 acres.
The Hospital is a 1400 beds hospital and providing mental specialist services for outpatient and inpatient.
Hospital Permai is equipped with 36 wards providing service,
training and research in psychiatry. Hospital Permai is the second
largest psychiatric hospital in Malaysia and is the secondary and
tertiary referral center for the state of Johor, Negeri Sembilan,
Melaka, Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.
Hospital Permai provides comprehensive, effective and quality
psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation services. Treatment
provided to patients in the ward whom are difficult to treat at home
as an outpatient.
